The Hulk is a bi-product of the cold war. In order to develop the atomic bomb, weak, skinny and nerdy scientists had to co-exist in an uneasy alliance with tough, macho soldiers for whom violence was their business. Physics, or more particularly, radiation miraculously created the biggest and loudest bombs ever made. Mix all these ingredients and you get Bruce Banner, a violent monster and gamma rays doing miracles all rolled into one. It has been decades since the Berlin wall came down ending the cold war, but the Hulk is still with us and he's angrier than ever. General Ross is obsessed with destroying the Hulk but if he does, he also destroys Bruce Banner the man his daughter Betty is in love with. The premise is so simple a child can understand. So why not make it into a comic book?
